Die Stellar Awards sind eine der zwei großen Auszeichnungen für Gospelmusiker*innen in den USA, die seit 1984 verliehen werden.
Die Kategorien sind vielfältig, die Künstler*in des Jahres wird gewählt, der Gospelsong des Jahres gekürt, Newcomer*innen rücken in den Fokus, Musikvideos werden ausgezeichnet, eine Bandbreite aus traditionellem Gospel bis hin zum Rap / Hip Hop Gospel-Album findet Gehör - und immer wieder sind die Stellar Awards (wenngleich aus kritischem Blick auch vom 'Markt' beeinflusst) eine große Inspirationsquelle auch für meine Arbeit.
